ABOUT ME!
Hey there!My name is Quinci Saunders. I'm a creative based in Atlanta. My specialties are in Animation and Compositing, but I dabble in all sorts of things! I have experience directing, voice acting, and making music.I've directed two award winning animated shorts; They Got Lost and AuTUMNTROSS, managing teams of dozens of artists with their own unique strengths. So much is possible when a team of talented people can share a vision!Going forward, I hope to push my capabilities in different fields... And hopefully I can share that journey with you!

Character Intro Screens
To promote my short film, AuTUMNTROSS, I created videos that introduced the cast and their characters. At the beginning of those videos, I made little character screens that used a bit of motion graphics...You can watch the full videos right here!
The "Fallmawks" Project
When I first learned to write music, I wanted to challenge myself by animating videos to go alongside them. It was my first major project centered around After Effects!I ended up making six music videos with heavy use of Motion Graphics and editing. I've posted clips here, but you can find the full videos on my Youtube.
As a bonus, here are some concept art pieces and WIPs I made for this project.

JUNE 2024 - MAY 2025In the midst of a clash between rabbit worker protesters and the police, an activist attempts to rekindle her connection with an old childhood friend.This film serves as a love-letter to the civil and workers rights movements of midcentury America.

AuTUMNTROSS was my senior thesis project. A culmination of what I've learned at Kennesaw State University.I was the film-runner and was able to work with dozens of talented artists to get the thing done. Even then, I was able to work in every aspect of the production in little ways... It was a huge learning experience.This film won first place at the 2025 Owl's Film Festival, and Best Story at the PopCon International Film Fest

This includes environment sketches and style frames. These would influence the final frames of the film, both in composition, style, and color.
DESIGN SHEETS
Character design documents for the main characters of the film. Ivory, Harley, and Codi!
Character lineups and designs for background characters. Also featuring alternate designs for the leads as children!
During the production of this film, I also took care of making sheets for most of the props! The instruments, especially were something I wanted to get right.In Toonboom Harmony, I developed a template for Ivory's guitar. A simple rig that we were able to warp in perspective and edit to fit the scene. This cut out a lot of time for many scenes, especially ones where it moved a lot...Otherwise, I got a lot of experience making vehicle props as well.
THEY GOT LOST
JANUARY 2024 - MAY 2024They Got Lost is a throwback to 80s punk rock- when an up-and-coming rock band is on their way to their break-out gig, the disharmony between the three members causes them to get lost.The full film can be viewed on Youtube!

They Got Lost was my first foray into the world of animation directing. Created in the span of a semester for Studio I; less than five months.My concept was one of two voted for by the class, and from there we got to work. By the end, our tight-knit group of nine had created something to be quite proud of!The video to your right serves as a good summary of the work I did on this film. From the initial art direction to character designs, and even some animation work.This film won second place at the 2024 Owl's Film Festival
